Meet Miss Ryan
My name is Meghan Ryan and I am the new Big Hollow Middle School Art Teacher. I am thrilled to be moving up to the middle school level arts and enriching students with new skills, creative strategies and collaborative projects. My first 5 years of teaching were in Schaumburg School District 54 where I enjoyed teaching k-6th grade art students. I enjoy all types of art but am newly getting into Photography and Ceramics. I just finished up my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an ELL endorsement from National Louis University. Art has always been a creative outlet and letting me explore new ideas. I am thankful and lucky that I get to create everyday and inspire others to do the same.
I coached Varsity Poms at Schaumburg High School, instructed painting classes with Bottle and Bottega Arlington Heights and create commissioned art work through my personal business Wisty Prints Art. I like to stay busy! This school year I helped coach the BHMS Poms team and look forward to continue the spirit team next school year! Previously I have interned at the Rockford Art Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. Art History was my minor and I try and incorporate it into my teaching as much as possible. I look forward to an exciting new year at Big Hollow Middle School!
